In 2024, Erik Somers was commissioned by the Frank Martin Stichting, on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of his death, to create a transcription of one of his works for wind orchestra. He ultimately chose three songs Frank Martin composed in his early years around 1910: Trois Poèmes Païens.

In 2025, these were performed by Raoul Steffani together with Harmonie St. Michaël van Thorn at the Muziekgebouw van de Omroep in Hilversum.

The transcription has been published by Éditions musicales Henry Labatiaz in Switzerland. A demo score and a link to the publisher can be found under the “Somers Wind Music” page on this website.
